Why should you choose us over another company, afterall the other company may also have good reviews right?
That may be so but much like a cars paint job its only as good as the preparation that goes on underneath, and that paint job may look great for a few months or maybe even a year, but sooner or later the lack of quality preperation underneath shows through.
Thats why we pride ourselves in correct prep work and will frequently post it on our social media feeds for all to see, you very rarely see this from other flooring companies.

Stair Gripper
Our stairs are grippered tight to prevent carpet coming loose, parts of the step that would normally be folded are instead grippered and tucked, this gives a clean flat finish without any bulging and importantly gives no room for it to work its way loose.
Stair risers
Following the previous photo, the risers are grippered so the carpet can be tucked instead of turned, this is especially important on thick carpets as they can leave a big bulge in the sides when just folded.
Double bullnose
Here you can see the finished product, a double bullnose in an 60oz saxony and notably the risers that are grippered are a flush finish.

Raised doorbars
When installing thicker carpets or combined with thick underlays the doorbars are often alot lower than the carpet,this can create a diving affect into the bar and can create a weak point, as over time stepping on this area can cause the carpet to work its way out of the bar. In this instance we have raised the bar on 6mm ply to give the carpet a flat finish.
Thicker Gripper
Leading on from the raised doorbars and thick underlay, customers that opt for thicker underlays are often sold regular 6mm gripper, this can also have the affect explained in the previous photo where the carpet will dive down onto the gripper and not get full contact with the spikes, over time the carpet works loose and you end up with bubbles in the carpet. We supply 9mm thicker, wider gripper with any underlay over 10mm
The Power Stretcher
Carpets over 4 metres in length are required by British Standards to be power stretched, but most fitters do not possess the necessary equipment. We own three power stretchers, which is why we can guarantee our fitting for 5 years. Some fitters struggle to stretch a 3x3 room using a knee kicker; they would stand no chance with the 12x5 metre 60oz carpet in the bottom photo!
Carpet Joins
When I started, I was not very skilled at carpet joins. I sought a wealth of knowledge on the subject and learned numerous tricks and tips from various installers, particularly in America, where they do not use doorbars but instead join all their doorways. I combined these techniques. I am one of the few who own an imported Kooglide seamer, which heats the carpet tape from above, minimizing the risk of glue getting into the tufts and resulting in a neater finish. I also seam seal all my joins to prevent the tufts on the cut edge from shedding over time.
And lastly...
Probably the most important tool of my job is a large reliable van that can fit your carpets inside, away from the rain, fumes, bird poo and bugs.
